Don’t Do Too Much at Once
You probably have more than one resolution that you’ve set for yourself, and while ambition is generally a virtue, it can also be an overwhelming vice if you try to do too much at once. Trying to lose weight, stick to a completely new diet, and taking on other lifestyle changes all at once can quickly lead to burnout, causing you to give up entirely.
Instead of making drastic changes that won’t last for more than a month or two, try to slowly integrate small changes into your daily routine. Start by going to the gym two or three days per week, and give yourself some time to adjust to healthy food choices. This may make your progress feel slower than it otherwise would, but you’ll be significantly better off in the long run.

Most people are on at least one social media platform, and sharing your success with others is one of the best ways to give yourself a motivational boost and potentially inspire others to keep going. Positivity and encouragement are infectious, so don’t be afraid to share your victories with your friends and family!
Go Easy on Yourself
No matter how resolute you are, you’re bound to have a cheat day, miss a workout, or fall short of your expectations. Always remember that making lasting changes is a long-term project, and in the course of a calendar year, a handful of cheat days and missed workouts won’t hinder your progress or prevent you from achieving your goals.
